ok. so the week has passed and a new week has arrived.
i have been going to so many places the past week in a cab until i am so so broke la. bleah. anyway, i think my relationship with a few people deepened over the week. and it is a good thing. yeah? =)
i went to the Singapore Zoo (FYI, it is no longer called the Singapore Zoological Gardens. just, the Singapore Zoo.) together with Wilson, Fungi and Peijun. oh man! it's been a decade since i've been there la. i really really do miss the place.
(8) We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo;
How about you, you, you?
You can come too, too, too;
We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. (8)
haha.... the z0o~!!! so the four of us bought some food and set off to Woodlands interchange to take 926 (FYI, it is a loop service available on Sundays only). when we reached the interchange, the bus was already there waiting for us! thank God! so we ran for it and even had places to sit!

do i look jap?
upon reaching the zoo, wilson went to buy the tickets (FYI, the zoo tix without unlimited tram rides (Adult) costs $15 while those with unlimited tram rides costs $20. this is to inform those who are interested in going.). fungi, peijun and i stood outside the queue to wait for wilson. then, this lady came up to us with her daughter in tow and gave us 4 entrance coupons (it was SPH's Family Day and this lady is with SPH. that explains the free coupons.). she explained that she is a Friend of the Zoo. this entitles her to free admission to the zoo. this means that she has no use for the 4 entrance coupons. so.... she gave us the SPH admission tickets to the zoo.. meaning, WE ENTERED THE ZOO FOR FREE~!!!!! Thank God~!!!! haha. where got so qiao de? WAHAHA.....
we met wilson's friend, annie. then, we went to take a lot lot lot of pictures of animals. oh man. we took so many animal photos as though we have never seen these animals in our entire life la. bleah. so sua ku. 4 19-year olds going to the zoo behaving like 4 9-year olds. haha. so paiseh la.
i think i shall not go into detail about the animals we took and all. just go to the zoo. it's an enriching experience. you get to learnt about new animals other than lion, tiger, pig, elephant, giraffe, cow, horse, rabbit, chicken... you get to know new creatures like the white-faced saki monkey. wahaha. internal joke.
i particularly like this cute squirrel. it is sooo small and cuddly. ahhh... ke ai lehx!!!
we went to watch some animal show. seriously, it was B-O-R-I-N-G. such a let down. we should have just continued to explore the zoo instead of sitting there. argh!!! LOUSY show. nothing interesting. nothing memorable. the animals appeared for such a short time only. not enough exposure time. sigh. BLEAH. the Singapore Zoo should do something about it.

en ai ponies... aWwWwW....
we went to this Australian outback trail which was built in loving memory of steve irwine. we saw this snake that was named as the World's Most Venomous Snake. just 0.11g of it's venom is enough to kill 100 humans. siao!!!!
speaking of snakes, fungi and wilson went to the snake place. as peijun and i were scared / don't like snakes, both of us went to the Garden With View to walk walk. i think it was kinda lame cos it was meant for couples. haha. peijun and i tried to use the timer to take some photos. haha. i think the view is really nice. a good place to take wedding photos. *winks*
Underwater Ballerina of West Africa - Pygmy Hippo.
we went to see the polar bear. peijun keep saying polar as koala. think that is bimbotic? wait til you hear this...

can you spot the polar? all of us could except fungi. fungi kept asking where the polar was. we kept pointing to her but fungi was too blur! alamak! it took fungi quite some time before she spotted the polar. oh man! i hope no one heard us. i think it was really bimbotic. haha. and dumb too. 19-year olds behaving like that... oh man.... tsk tsk.
anw, guys, you all MUST go to see the polar soon. the polar will be sent to other countries cos it is feeling very stressed in the Singapore Zoo cos of the weather. hurry hurry!!! we will not be able to see any polar bears in singapore in the future. must treasure this current polar.
random information:
1) cows urinate a LOT. just imagine the pipe in your house bursting.
2) when elephants give birth, the whole amniotic sac comes out with the baby elephant enclosed in it. the zoo keeper (or if in the wild, an experienced female elephant) will break the sac to allow the baby to come out. the amniotic sac is white. it looks like a plastic bag.
3) a white tiger can leap up to 10m.

4) one white tiger's name is called winnie.
5) i saw pumba (but no timon)!!!
6) zhiwei was EVERYWHERE!!!
7) black pigs are ugly.
8) the SINGAPORE Zoo has flowerless vanda miss joaquim and lionesses only. what an irony. tell you guys something bimbotic fungi said. she said that she wanted to see "something with a mane". why in the world cant she just say she wants too see a "lion"???? *alamak!!!!*
9) a kangaroo can leap up to 13m. if i had a kangaroo's feet, my feet would be THAT big.
.... you just learn a lot in the zoo la. haha. just that i cant absorb all the information.
we took loads of photos. but the bulk are with peijun (who will be having her exams soon) and wilson (who is currently in camp). oh well, i just have to wait patiently for them to upload the photos. haha.
we ate Ben's & Jerry's cos we saved on the entrance fee... wahahah. the mango and lime sorbet (orange) is nice. VERY refreshing after a hot and tiring day. *yum yum*
i was SUPER tired after reaching home. but everything was worth it. i don't mind going to the zoo again a few months later.
