YEA~!!! So I am at luwei’s house to blog again. I have internet access to the world again. I feel connected again after one week. Heh.

Last week’s prayer meeting hit an all-time high of 14 people (including Sylvester). C0ol man~!!! How many will turn up this week? W0o0o0o0… let’s 拭目以待…

Anyway, I went to watch Harry Potter on Sunday. It was more of a stepping stone for the darker elements of book 6 and 7, I feel. It wasn’t really THAT great as I hoped it to be. Well, spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk… please ignore the paragraphs in {{ }} if you do not want to read the spoilers.

{{ The director took a lot of parts out. For example, Harry was supposed to feel VERY jealous that Ron and Hermione were always together. Ron and Hermione were supposed to be prefects (this was NOT depicted in the movie) and Mrs Weasley was supposed to throw a HUGE party to celebrate this joyous event (this, yet again, is NOT depicted). Harry was supposed to feel super duper ultimate jealous and all alone. The director tried to bring this point across but it was a disappointment because the “jealousy” that was depicted by Harry was more of a 莫名其妙 jealousy that had no proof. As I did not read the book, I was quite blur as to why Harry was feeling jealous. It was until Wilson enlightened me that I understood. So yes, the removal of Ron and Hermione being prefects was a bad idea as it thins the plot.

Also, the directors did not include the part where Ron won the Quiddich (is that how you spell it?) thing. I personally would prefer this part to be added in cos it would spice up the movie a little. It’ll bring some light-hearted moments to this fifth instalment that is overshadowed by dark elements. The Order of the Phoenix is, in my opinion, darker than Goblet of Fire (or rather, Cup of Water, as Himbotic Henson puts it. Alamak~!!!). It is more than just mere children waving their wands and going “Abacus!”

Harry’s (Daniel’s) acting skills require more horning. I find that he did not portray the jealousy part well enough. Moreover, the part where he was “possessed” by the oh-he-looks-so-hilarious-He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was oh-my-goshly bad. I cant really clearly differentiate the “good” and the “bad”. It just wasn’t distinct enough.

Hermione (Emma) is oh-craply pretty can? I mean, her pretty features are much more distinct now. 美女 lehx… while Ron… er, he became more cao lao. Haha. Sigh. Poor thing la. I used to like him when he was young cos he was so cuteeeee……. Now… *faints*

And yup, we will have a glimpse in this instalment as to why Snape so hates James Potter. Prof Snape trades his all-so-black-and-cool image to reveal the more personal, private side of himself for a split second.

And did I mention I soooo detest the new headmistress, whatever her name is? Her laughter just sends shivers down my spine. And yes, Dumbledore should become dumb-and-bore instead. I still don’t like this actor. I prefer Stone’s actor. He is able to bring out the airs of a headmaster better and fuller than the current actor. Oh well, pity that he has passed on.

The part where Sirius Black died…. It wasn’t heart-wrenching enough. He died so suddenly, so in vain. And what’s with girls crying cos Harry kissed Cho Chang? The scene looked so…. Fake. Haha. But it was Harry’s first on screen kiss.. so, forgiven!

I think, the only parts of the movie where I truly enjoyed were these:
1) The place that was filled with 3000 glass balls
2) The fighting scene between He-Who-Has-No-Nose and dumb-and-bore.

Who will be the missing link? Who will be the person that seemed so unimportant in Book5 but will play a crucial role in Book7? Well, the answer will only be revealed this Saturday….so 紧张… }}

Okay, enough of my Potter ramblings… time for more random stuff. Peijun initiated a last-minute impromptu Lamerz gathering on Monday where half of Lamerz (peijun, like duh~!, zhiwei, yeewen and I turned up). We got together to eat donuts, listen to music, play mahjong and talk crap. It was a really lame gathering. Well, I bought donuts from Missy Donut. I’ve tried the Mocha and Green tea flavours. DON’T BUY BOTH~!!!! The Mocha doesn’t taste of Mocha at all. The same goes the same for Green Tea. Zhiwei ate the blueberry chocolate one and commented that it was sweet. Peijun ate the Apple Cinnamon one and commented that it tasted like Mac’s apple pie’s filling. Oh well, you decide for yourself whether it is worth the buy. Speaking of Mac’s, I WANNA COMPLAIN~!!!! What’s with increasing the price of the student meal from $4 to $4.50? To the people at Mac’s, if you do have a brain, please count. How does a 2% hike in GST contribute to a 50cent rise in the price of the student meal? oh well, positive thinking: increase in prices, less incentive to eat Mac’s, still right on path to 减肥成功~!!! =P wahaha….
