i survived the crazy mid week period!

tue: 5-7pm lecture - immuno
wed: 8am-4pm lessons straight (3 lectures and 1 tutorial) + yound adults' gathering (w0oho0~!)
thu: 830-10am lecture - immuno

Wednesday

Young adults’ gathering was kinda cool. But I was totally totally TOTALLY drained after that. Adrian talked to me on the car and.... silence. I guess I was stoning. It was until I realized there was a moment of awkward silence that it dawned on me the question was addressed to me. Thanks. And he tried to lame me. But I caught no hint of anything. Zero. Zilch. Brain totally shut down. Thank God for the hot tea (think caffeine – oh yea! This reminds me. I ‘forgot’ how to spell ‘caffeine’ on the car as well.) that kept me awake and energized and able to share during the gathering. Or else I’d just camouflage into the environment.

Special thanks to elvin and Wilson for letting me use the toilet first (ie. Let me cut their Q). hahahah! I wasn’t urgent at all really. I just wanted them to give way to me. WAHAHA~!!!

More thanks to Desmond, my new found friend who can drive. WAHAHA~!!! Why I love fervor guys? Cos they can drive. Cos they are willing to drive me!!! WAHAHA~!!!! O0ps. I think this sounds very bad. Make friends with them for a reason. No no! this wasn’t what I meant. (korean: ker gor ahn knee aye yo.)I mean, erm…. Er.. I make friends with them then realized they know how to drive and so nice they were willing to drive me home! Understand? =P anyways, thank God for Desmond and his car. Or else… I think I’d reach home at 12mn last night. Zzzz…..

stuff i ate the whole day = rubbish:

Thursday

Szern’s believe it or not.

NUS had a fire alarm today!!! Yup yup! My block had to be evacuated. It was during immuno lecture break when the alarm sounded. Fyi, I was napping then. Wahaha! Told ya I was really really tired. Imran, our (very responsible and enthusiastic) class rep told us to grab our stuff and run. Hey hey! This wasn’t what we learnt in school, right? In case of a fire, we’re supposed to abandon our belongings and run for dear life. However, in our case, our bags were on our laps. So just shun bian grab our bags (and lecture notes) and run la! After all, according to liling, if we were to leave our bags on the floor, other people who were running for dear life might trip over our bags and fall! a very valid reason.

Anyway, I feel that weiling, liling and I are not only kiasu, but kiasi as well! we were amongst the first in our class to run out of the seminar room to the assembly area. Hahahaha! Well, I don’t want to die so early. And in school for that matter. Fyi, I was sharing to Adrian and desmond the day before that I don’t want to die so soon. At least let me get married first. WAHAHA! Ok. That’s besides the point. Back to the fire alarm…

We ran to the assembly area and noticed the lab people were wearing the “Fire Warden” neon green and orange vests and were holding on to some name lists. There were also boards that read ‘Microbiology Lab Level 2’ etc. everything was so well organized! One of the fire wardens kept looking at his watch. This lead weiling, liling, Felicia and I to speculate that this was just a drill.

Being girls, and Nursing girls at that, we somehow have this extraordinary power to get more information. Today, we eavesdropped overheard the fire wardens talking amongst themselves and realised the alram was the REAL deal! The drill should be in September! Woah! For REAL?!?!?! We waited a few minutes more and overheard (once again) that some alarm wire thing was screwed and so… you know the rest of the story. Hahaha!

Back to class we went (with our bags and lecture notes) and the ang moh lecturer praised us for our prompt action! ‘A+’ was what he wrote on the white board. Yea! I salute the fire wardens for being so ready and prepared in this ‘emergency’. A really cool experience. Admit it la. How many times have you participated in an emergency evacuation in uni? Haha!

stuff i ate today:

sze is human and will make the occasional food bloopers. o0ps!

So yea, that’s for today. Somehow today feels like tomorrow. I mean, Thursday (today) feels like Friday (tomorrow). and i ate waffle for THREE consecutive days!!! man!!! Yup yup! Bye!!!!
