    ** Go MAN U... **

    postdated entry...

i want to thank God for placing good colleagues in my path. seriously. like ms tan and tini. ms tan, when she knew i was shortlisted for the nursing interview, she approved my leave immediately! then, she emailed woodlands polyclinic's care manager and sister to ask them if i can be attached to them for half a day, to expose myself to situations so that i can better answer questions during the interview (because i can boast of having first-hand nursing experience). Sister gladly agreed =) that helped me quite a bit during my interview. yup yup!!

and for being soooo nice, i shall post a picture of her here...
tini treated me to a free movie last last friday. we watched Run Papa Run, starring gu tian le and rene liu. i think the show is not bad. quite touching. i almost cried lor. haha. sigh... but this is a biased comment. i like gu tian le. keke... o0ps. but i want to thank Tini la. really.

and so... this is a photo of my dear sister in Christ =)

and as promised, photos from NHGP's team building event 2008...

WARNING: View at your own risk.

look at my makeup. sooo thick! actually, i knew that the photographer was taking a photo of my colleague and i. so i gave my bestest natural look. and so... tadah!

actually i have more photos. but those are unglam ones. so.... haha. ya. those are under P&C la. treat me nicely and i MIGHT just show them to you. haha.

and i have to blog about this.....

MANCHESTER UNITED ARE THROUGH TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS EVER SINCE THEIR FAMOUS 1999 TREBLE YEAR~!!!!!!

    the goal

    the celebration

    the hug

and here's the manger i have much respect for - Alex Ferguson!
nope. he's not the one who sang Big Girl's Don't Cry.

    ** 24th April 2007, 10.10am **

    >>> wilson: well, camera-whoring isn't such a bad thing after all. at least we have good photos to show the world. know why these are good photos? cos those people in the photos are good-looking! =P
    >>> xiaodi: hor hor... naughty. prayer meeting still come here and tag? hor hor....
    >>> jol: haha. maybe next time when we gather we can have a theme. then, we can dress up and do nonsense. keke. it isn't ex lehx. the kimono was from Chinatown. $10. the other accessories (ear rings, ring, nail polish, hair accessories) cost $8plus. the make-up was provided for. my colleague's. keke.
    >>> yeewen: JIAYOULE~!!!! 9may~!!! keke. ok ok. i shall blog about that~ heh.

I HAVE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR THE NUS NURSING INTERVIEW~!!!!!

    THANK GOD~!!!! =D

    some random stuff...

    RANDOM ONE (1)

there was this patient called yee wen chuen. cool eh? i was so shocked when i saw the name. so after serving him, i internet sms-ed yeewen to tell her about my new discovery. lolx. so weird, right? surname yee, name wen chuen. and to top it all, same spelling as my dear lamer, yee wen. keke.

    RANDOM TWO (2)

there was another code blue case this week - a 2 week old baby. when i heard the news, i was quite sad. in the end, the baby was ok when he left the clinic to go to the hospital. apparently, the doctors and nurses were there to revive the baby, who had already turned blue. then, a doctor went into the room and gave the baby a tickle, and he regained consciousness! cool eh? hope that the baby is safe and sound now.

STUPID BLOGGER. don't allow me to upload photos. sigh..........

    ** i'm dehydrated **

    >>> lizzie: WAHAHA~!!! i totally agree with you! jo can go solo! that's why no need to join a girl group. keke. it's so funny! wahaha...
    >>> jo: i still have my kimono and hair accessories and black half stockings with me. i can lend them to you if you want and you can play dress up too! keke. anyway, i'm not so interested in the pussycat dolls pose. i am more interested in my tummy! or rather, the lack of it. WAHAHA.... o0ps =P
    >>> xiaodi: yup! i will stay strong de. keke.
    >>> fungi: hey~!!! don't criticise my new image ok? i spent a lot of time on it de lehx. wahaha~!!! it's super fun to dress up once again. like back to those small girl days. keke. i old le. 114 more days to 20. ARGH~~~~~~~~~

i realised that the difference in "super" and "supper" is very minimal. super supper~!

the past week has been kinda crazy for me. i witnessed many incidents that are... well.. out of the ordinary.

    ONE
we had a code blue case on... thursday? or was it friday. aiyah... whatever. but anyway, the story goes that Dr Preethi (try verbalising it) was examining this 80-odd year old malay uncle's leg in her room. the son was inside as well. Dr Preethi was asking the uncle some questions when suddenly he did not answer. Dr asked the son if this happened very often. the son nodded his head. the uncle was drooling and the son took out a handkerchief to wipe his saliva. then, i don't know how, Dr realised the uncle had no breathing. she resuscitated him for 10minutes before pronouncing the uncle dead. sigh.... this is by far the most accurate hear-say story. the most reliable and credible story because i heard it from my policeman. the first version i heard was passed from Health Attendants to PSAs to my colleague to me. lolx.

    TWO
this cough syrup addict came to buy cough syrup. my boss saw him and told me if she looks at me or touches me, i am to call my policeman. fyi, there is a policeman in every polyclinic. true enough, this addict became a bit aggressive and kept insisting that he wanted to buy the cough syrup. my boss stood her stand and told him "NO!". she gave me "that look" and i went to call my policeman to come to the pharmacy. my boss in the meantime told him that she would only sell him 3 cough tablets to tide him for the day. period. thank goodness he did not get aggressive. all because of my policeman! haha. scary sia....

    THREE
this patient came to buy cough syrup. an indian man. when i asked him which type (we have quite a few types), he told me he wanted the "sweet one". i gave him a number and told him to wait. when my boss came out, i told her that i suspect this patient is an addict. once again she told me to call the policeman should anything happen. i was so nervous. as she called the patient, she didn't know whether to laugh or to cry - he was her family friend. diaox... so funny. but seriously, once he said "the sweet one", i was on red alert. won't you do so?

    FOUR
i was on the bus to changi airport to send joey off. and somehow, this teenage indian couple and this 80-odd year old granny and her 50-odd year old daughter got into a verbal war. apparently, what i gathered from their conversation was the indian couple were shaking their legs and this irritated the mother and daughter team who were sitting in front of them. mother and daughter changed seats to the seat behind the couple. daughter read newspaper and kept hitting indian female. indian female not happy and told daughter off. daughter not happy and SHOUTED at female. i was taken aback too. couple used the F-word. daughter replied they F themselves. they engaged in a verbal war. the WHOLE BUS turned to look at them. they were beside me. goodness... my ears. sigh. i was so scared somehow they will pull my hair or something. then, female snatched the newspaper away. daughter flew into a rage. mother tried to calm daughter but daughter pushed her away and shouted at her too! poor mother. sigh... female called police. couple were cool and composed. daughter was in a rage and kept shouting here and there. she kept zipping and unzipping her bag very loudly. the bus auntie sped and i made my hurried exit and t3. ugly scene.

    FIVE
at 1230pm on Saturday, we still had 200 patients waiting to see the doctor. i tell you, this is madness! i am supposed to fang gong at 1230pm! and yet..... goodness! thank God i was allowed to leave at 2pm. my other colleagues left at 3pm. CRAP! that is almost like a full day can? we are overworked and underpaid! we were saying we want to go see the MP! we want to complain! we have our rights as well! we shall say, "we have no rights, we have no say, and we long to be free one day!" lolx. does this sound familiar to you? it's the Recollection. the thing that we will always say during National Days in school. keke. anyway, it helps that the MP for our GRC is Khaw Boon Wah, who is also the Minister for Health! related! haha. we should join some union, and protest!!! 5 day work week! or maybe do something so that we can leave on time on Saturdays. don't eat up our free time~!!!

    SIX
partyworld at clementi is GONE! the whole building is torn down! it is seldom that we see a building there 2 weeks ago and 2 weeks later, PROOF~!!! it became Kokocrunch!

    SEVEN
i cried for three days in a row. thursday, work. friday, joey and daryl. saturday, daryl. it's a miracle my eyes were still visible on Sunday =D

    EIGHT
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDROS~!!!!

so yup, this is about it. my week.

    ** we're 2 || $10 **

I'm blogging on a Tuesday night. oh goodness~!!! it's so so rare ever since Woodlands polyclinic reopened and all the appointments started. w0w!

anyway, before i start blogging about the $10 Club outing i had with lizzie and jo on Sunday, i would like to wish myself a.....

    HAPPY 2ND YEAR IN COSBT~!!!!

    haha... also.... to dear Nissi-Peijun...

    HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY~!!!!

ok. let me start blogging proper...

jo intro-ed this super cosy and homely ktv place to lizzie and i. and yes, it is not called $10 club for nothing. it's really $10 NETT from 2-7pm, free flow drinks, 2 bowls of tidbits and a bowl of sharks' fin each (i could not even find vermicelli in it, let alone sharks' fin. thanks.)

i expected it to be a sleazy and run down place but it turned out fine. a nice place for gathering for jo, lizzie and i....

Disclaimer: Be prepared to be overwhelmed with you-cannot-take-it-any-longer photos.

    ME, jo, lizzie =D

an emo shot gone terribly wrong.

we sang many super old english songs from M2M, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Westlife. evidence? look at the picture above. scrutinise the lyrics! oh oh! Jo sang songs from the Beatles and Bee Gees as well. wahaha... btw, it was M2M's Pretty Boy above.

ME and dear lizzie aka eLIZARDbeth =P

    ME and darling jojo.

ME and lizzie again! i like the way my hair looks here. ok. random.

    the NEW Pussycat Dolls?
    goodness~!!! look at my tummy~!!! SOOOO FLAT~!!! WAHAHA~!!!!
sorry. i just love this picture - for personal reasons =P

Singapore's Next Top Model - Elizabeth Tang!
don't you think her pose is so modelish? keke.

i kinda like this photo too!! we look so SJE - Szern, Jo, Elizabeth.
    ok. not funny.

we just decided to go the Ashwaria Rai way.

guess a song title based on this photo....
Ans: liang jing ru's di san zhe (third party)

this is by far the MOST S.H.E photo i've ever taken in my entire life. haha. don't you think we can really send this photo in to be our album cover? our new group will be called SJE. lolx. the more i look at this photo, the more SJE it becomes. alamak! so so girl band.

yup. so that's it! jo, lizzie and i. i thank God for good friends and time for gatherings. as much as i hate and detest aj, i thank God for the friends i've made over there.

i just need to chill out a bit.

    ** konichiwa... **

oh man. i just came back from NHGP-Pharmacy's Family Day at Japanese Garden. the overall theme is jap. like duh~! Japanese garden ma. what else?

i am sooo sooo tired. my everywhere is aching. from arms to thighs to feet. goodness. i feel old. Ms Tan, my fav pharmist was still saying she feels so tired, maybe due to old age (she's 32 btw). what about me?! i'm only 16. half her age! goodness.

but anyway, Woodlands Pharm prepared a dance item for the presentation. we stayed back for intensive training almost everyday last week to train for the dance. i was also roped in by angie and ms tan to help with the costume preparation. i like working with them. they get things done and won't scold me if i make a mistake. they will really tell me in a nice manner so that i can learn. plus they take good care of me. haha. i like them. lolx. random. i thank God for good colleagues. and bad ones. so that i can learn how to be patient and tolerant with them =S

    ok. look. here's me.

don't you think i look kawaii? lolx. the theme for my team (consisting of ana, siti, tini, noora, teresa and myself) is japanese kawaii. haha. ok la. we were all acting cute. but who cares? we had fun. ok la. we feel we just ran out from IMH or something. keke. another team was the original jap people with the fan and nonsense. the other team was the banglah jap. i don't know if such a thing really exists but... yalor. haha.

i just want to thank siti for putting on make-up for me. her skills are superb la. for the eye shadow alone she used more than 4 different types of colours lor. this is by far the thickest make-up i've ever put on in my entire life! all 16 years of my life! my eyeliner was so thick i got a shock myself. haha. it didn't turn up on photo but it was thick. very thick! i can't stand my face. it looks bloated and elongated.

all the accessories we had to put on. pink ear rings, pink nail polish, lavender rubber band with cute cute figures, bunny rabbit hair clip, big pink "diamond" ring.

i realise that i still do get stage fright. everyone does. for the Woodie Wonders! haha. that's out lame name. our performance was good! entertaining. however, we did not win because we li ti. haha. did not really state our core values as explicitly as the other teams. sigh. yes, we are sad. but oh well... i had fun! although it is tiring, hmm... i'm still sad but... cheer up~!!! cos...

i got a goodie bag! it contained these items:

not bad sia~!!! still give rice. they know that price of rice (ok. this rhymes.) is rising and the burden is on us. they are so nice. do not want us to starve. haha. and essence of chicken. YEA~!!! we NEED it. we work like there is no tomorrow. we need to bu yi bu.

and also, i won all these in a lucky draw~!!!

haha. yes. a hamper from Lion Company, not Lion Capital. ok. not funny. stop it sze. stop it. you're tired. detergent (top), gargle (systema), toothbrush (systema), toothpaste (systema), facial foam (shokubutsu), hand wash (kirei kirei), mama lemon, boday foam (shokubutsu), kodomo wet wipes and fever patch. haha. HEAVY SIA~!!! i had to ask my ma to bring the marketing trolley to the mrt station to wait for me. lolx. there is a plastic basket too. it's not in the picture. haha. my colleagues very bad. say that i smelly that's why they gave me these =(

but woodlands not bad also la. got a few people zhong the lucky draw too! like ms tan (some voucher), ana (juice maker), siti (pooh-tigger-eeyore-piglet stuffed toy and some $20 voucher. I WANT~!!!), kak rabiah ($100 voucher from Isetan), ah han (rice, oil, chili sauce, milo, Complan.... daily groceries la), ann ($300 Robinson's voucher). Mr Muru got something too. i guess it's a voucher as well.

and to reward myself from a hard day's work, i makan-ed Moo's ice cream~!!! haha. mooo.....

    (8) love, love, love, bu guan chang duan... (8)

a gift from Ms Tan who went to Thailand (Bangkok) with her hubby last week. her hubby was there on a business trip. she said she thought of me when she saw this because i'm her Service Star. awww.... so sweet. haha. thank you Ms Tan~!!! =D

anyway, before Ms Tan left for Thailand with her hubby (minus her daughter, beibei), we all (lihong, kat, ah han, tini and i) kept asking her to "Made In Thailand". wahaha. ok la. we naughty la. but Ms Tan's 32. and it's high time beibei gets a new playmate =P

more pictures will come.... i will get siti to bluetooth me. haha. YEA!
