    THE FLIGHT PLAN!!!

sitting arrangement as follows. A (left) to F (right).
the boxes in blue are the ones that i booked.
yeewen can be slotted in into three places, namely, 1, 2 and 3!
so there is a very high possibility that yeewen would not have to sit alone if she is able to come along with the rest of us! =)
Ohana! why does this remind me of AJ?! *faints*
    understood? =)
zhiwei and i are really goooood! lolx. yw! love ya! haha.

    random photo of serkun's shirt!
and the FREE DONUT I MADE in school! strawberry filling and chocolate sauce! yummy! =D oily. fatty. =(

i got a rude shock when i received Clara's sms.

content: Terrorists planning to bomb the Bugis area.

as a kiasu Singaporean, i informed my dear cell mates (we were at West Coast Park), eliz, and my family when i got home. you know, better be safe than sorry. better believe. ling ke xin qi you. bu ke xin qi wu.

liling, weiling and i were like... so how? still meet at Raffles City for discussion tomorrow? so mao dun. i was telling weiling i don't want to die while having TC discussion. it makes no sense. i don't want to sacrifice my life for TC. it's dumb.

but thank God, it was just a hoax: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/410609/1/.html.
well guys, thank God for the stability that we have here in Singapore! pray and thank Him!

and i'm quite amazed of the yi chuan shi, shi chuan bai effect. like when i got the message from Clara, i spread to peijun, timo, alex, bel, luwei, henson, bryan, joshua, shuen, eliz, mum, dad, mei. wow! so, in this case, i yi chuan shi san. cool!

WAHAHA! i challenge you to spot me. WAHAHA! lolx.
did you notice the guys saluting behind? *faints*

yea! the guys! 5 of them here. 2 of them absent.

    ** YUMMY YUMMY! **

    a long overdue photo:

weiling and i arrived for physio lecture at.... 7.45am (o2.o2.2oo9)!!! oh man! look at how enthu we were! we simply love physio. liling arrived about 5 minutes later. haha. clara was shocked that we were so early! told her we love physio (esp. GIT)!

    and for my proud moment....

    I BAKED ON SUNDAY~!!!! =DDD

like finally. i've been itching to bake ever since... i don't know when. but i just could not find the time to do so. not after exams, not after attachment, not after camp, not after Korea trip, not after Xmas.... i just gave myself an excuse to bake this time round! heh.

"Being a baker is what i wanna be!"

don't understand? who ask you not to be there at YI's Xmas Bash 2007? haha!

    my achievements....

    YUMMY ONE!
    cookies =)
i made them for mei cos she kept bugging me to bake cookies for her to bring to school for Valentine's. so sad! bully me. poor me!
made extra cookies (purposely) to share with my uni-mates as well as a few other friends.
thanks melissa (nursing, spongebob) for really really loving them! haha. she even volunteered to be my promoter if i were to open a shop. wahaha! when i retire, maybe?

    YUMMY TWO!
    Rosti!
nah... i'm not that smart. i made it from a premix. it was a little salty. but given that it was my first try, it was a success =)
mei said it was delicious! that's why i love my mei. she can be really encouraging at times! haha.
peijun... i'll teach you soon! you must learn to cook!

    and my proudest achievement....

    YUMMY THREE~!!!!

    chocolate basketball cake!
i did a research on how to bake this cake.... don't you think i'm good?
the icing was too sweet. oh well! so sad. but i still love it all the same! sweet girl bakes sweet cakes!
anyway, do you notice the small holes on the cake? resembles the holes on a real basketball! haha. i love all the little intricate details!
    i love the cake! =)

    YUMMY FOUR!

the stupid ATM machine ate my cashcard AFTER i was done with the topping-up just now!
thanks man. was it that hungry? maybe it mistook my cashcard for cookies / rosti / cake.
and have you ever seen an ATM machine start-up before? well, i did! after it ate my card -_-" maybe it finally realised that cashcard is not equals to cookie / rosti / cake.
i don't know why i'm so "lucky". the ATM machine ate my ATM card the previous time. rarrrr.....
anyway, the NETS guy said that they'll mail the cashcard back to me within 1-2 weeks' time. so it's not that bad after all...

okay! sze's gonna rest soon! hope you had a yummilicious time!

    To you, my dear friend:

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

I almost cried. I think being a nursing student has strengthened me in this aspect. Controlling my tears, appearing to be strong in front of patients / patients' family members. Nevertheless, the emotions I feel are still the same.

Take heart, my friend, for God is in control.

it's not an everyday thing to see your friends appearing on newspapers. and two in a day, for that matter!

    ONE...
Adrian Teo on NTU's The Nanyang Chronicle [Jan 28, 2009. Vol 12(7). pg8]

" I would bring my date to a music cafe along Prinsep Street to chill out with some drinks. the cafe would preferably have a warm, cosy ambience's and a centre stage for its patrons to freely sing a song or two if they want to.

I would go up on the stage to dedicate and serenade my significant other with my all-time favourite love ballad - Richard Marx's Now and Forever. she will be seated right in front of the stage, and i will look into her eyes lovingly as i sing."

    TWO...
Alison Liew on The Straits Times (Friday, January 30, 2009. pg B9.).
His letter was the winning letter!

"Never has the national anthem Majulah Singapura been heard officially in any Olympic Games, or even in its less glamorous cousin, the Paralympics. but one Singaporean, Yip Pin Xiu, has laid that to history. on Sept 15, 2008, she helped put Singapore on the world sporting map.

Competing in the Beijing Paralympics, Pin Xiu, at the tender age of 16, swam her 50m breaststroke (s3) event in a gold-medal time of 58.75 seconds. this added to the silver she had already obtained in the 50m freestyle.

altogether, it was a haul of unprecedented proportions.

what makes her achievements all the more remarkable is the fact that she suffers from muscular dystrophy - a genetic disease that is marked by progressive weakness and degeneration of the muscles which control movement.

however, her extreme medical difficulties did not deter her from chasing her dreams and, in so doing, giving all Singaporeans something to be proud of.

For a start, Pin Xiu did not choose the easy path of wallowing in self-pity and resigning herself to her circumstances. instead, she took up swimming to inject purpose in her life, and that soon developed into a new direction.

a sporting career is never smooth-sailing and, given her medical conditions, would be doubly punishing. for example, she has to put in that extra effort to complete a stroke as compared to her able-bodied peers.

yet, she never gave up her dreams. she chose to toil away silently, knowing that every stoke she made would being her closer to a podium finish, closer to the day she saw the fruition of her dreams.

for those who have always taken their physical well-being for granted, unintentionally or not, she has compelled them to take a new perspective of their lives: by showing them the way to live."

    well done, alison! =)

Old Maid Mahjong is so fun!
    and so is Retard Mahjong!

if you don't get it, never mind.

i still don't dare to weigh myself, btw. this is so bad!
