i went to attend Fann Wong's wedding yesterday.... NOT!!!
ok la. i attended my own wedding. to those who were not given an invitation, i sincerely apologise. i hope it is not to late... erm... get it? (8) it's too late to apologise.... it's too late~~~~~ (8)
ok la! i attended my cousin's wedding. i guess the next cousin's wedding i will attend would be quite a few years later cos the eldest unmarried cousin (paternal side) is only 24! maternal side? i don't even think any are attached. hMm... fyi, i'm the 3rd youngest in my generation on my paternal side and 2nd youngest on my maternal side. my sis? she's the youngest on both sides! haha!!!! XMM. LOL. *winks at GAPpers*

my 二姑 (left) was in very high spirits last night. it was her Happy Hour cos the groom (her son) is her last child to get married. so, as my dad puts it, she "cleared" all her children already. haha!
since my cousin was drunk (he did dumb things like plucking the rose out from the stand and putting it in his pocket -_-"), my cousin-in-law, the bride, drank the cup of red wine on his behalf.
i would not allow anyone to make my future husband drunk during the wedding dinner. NEVER! one, cos it's wrong to get drunk. two, it creates a scene. three, i don't think i want to clear his puke on our wedding night. i don't mind clearing his puke when he's ill. but, cos he's drunk? no way.
my mei and i at home! we were tired. but still decided to pose and smile sweetly for the camera! =D
ok guys. i'm so glad week 1 of hospital attachment is over! we (singee, huiwen, betsy, faiz and i) celebrated by treating ourselves to mr bean's ice cream cone! 20% off. haha. i shall not elaborate much cos i'm afraid i'll mention something that might infringe on the patients' confidentiality. oh well. but i gotta tell you that my legs are really really tired from standing from 5 to 5. cos i wake at 5. and will stand all the way til 5pm (after i bathe). lunch break is effectively 35minutes of sitting time. so yea. my poor legs. thank God someone invented compression / pressure stockings! prevents DVT! prevents blood pooling in the legs. increases blood flow. yea! my friend!
oh yea. gotta say that AM shift starts officially at 7am. however, we have to reach 10 minutes before shift starts, which means 6.50am. but, the ward clock is 10 minutes FASTER! meaning, we hafta reach at 6.40am normal rest-of-Singapore time. sad, right?
not to mention that we, NUS Nursing students, get "bullied" by other nurses cos.. well, we're NUS students! as one nurse puts it, they are "skeptical" about us. oh well! just want to tell the rest of the world that i am a warrior! i will not give up! tough it may be. they might look down upon us and ignore us and ill-treat us. but i will fight all the way. i will show you that we are not to be trampled upon. i will be the best nurse i can be and thrash the rest of them. i will make sure they will not look down upon us ever again. it's NUS Nursing's reputation at stake! it will only make me stronger! yes! watch out, those who treat us like dirt! we, NUS Nursing students, will prove that we are worthy of the degree when we graduate. not now cos we're only year 1s and it's our very first hospital attachment. but we'll show you what we've got! watch out. be scared. be very very scared! this is war. fighting~~~~~~~~

i went to have a post-exam celebration lunch with liling and weiling on friday! after that, cell went to celebrate luwei's and bel's birthdays at Glass House! i didn't know the L-O-V-E was gone!!! so upsetting =( photos soon, i guess. wait til i bug liling and timo/luwei for them! heh.
luwei is so cute. already 19 but still behaving like a 12 year old. keke. ke ai sia. i guess he is trying very hard to live his last teenage year to the fullest before he outgrows it. haha!

ya, attachment starts for me on Monday. after all the big
hoo-ha and stuff. yup, this is it!
the situation goes that POLYCLINICS are still not opened to students yet! so that means,
yeewen, you are still banned! and that also means that my other friends who were supposed to be attached to the polyclinic (like dear
liling and
weiling) will have a week of break before heading out the the battlefield. oh man! guys, treasure it!
fyi, a yellow status means students are allowed to be attached on an INSTITUTION basis. so for
TTSH, yea.. they allow us to go on Monday.

Compare and contrast between Physiology 2 (PY1106) and Pharmacology 1 (PP2106A). [15m]
Similarities:
- both start with Ph-.
- both end with -ology.
- szern took both of them this semester.
- both papers started at 5pm.
- both papers ended at 7pm.
- both papers were tested on a Wednesday.
- the weightage for CA for both papers is 40% each.
- that means, the weightage for this final exam for both papers is 60% each.
- szern predicts she will not-do-too-goodly for both papers.
- szern has friends from outside nursing taking these two mods with her.
- these two friends are from Pharmacy.
- These two friends are girls.
- Peijun knows the both of them.
Differences:
- One friend is Mic Bay, while the other is yeewen.
- micbay is from church while yeewen is from lamerz.
- micbay is in Pharmacy year 1 while yeewen is in Pharmacy year 2.
- micbay took PY1106 with szern while yeewen took Pharmacolgy with szern.
- Physio is all MCQ for all tests while Pharmaco is T/F for CA and essays for final paper.
- Pharmaco is negative marking for CA (T/F) while Physio is positive marking.
- Physio finals was at MPSH5 while Pharmaco finals was at MPSH6.
- we need not go through temperature screening before we took Physio. however, we need to do so for Pharmaco.

** Suspension of Clinical Placements till 18th May 09 **
i got a rude shock when i saw this on IVLE:
"Currently MOH has suspended student attendance for clinical placements until 18th May 2009.
This means that there will be NO clinical placement for next week.
It is anticipated that this suspension may be extended at least to the end of May.
ALCNS has made contingency plans in relation to the expected extension of suspension.
1. At this stage, all students will be required to do 4 weeks clinical practicum from 7 December 2009 to 3rd January 2010. The original schedule is 2 weeks for this placement.
2. Depending on how long the suspension lasts, you may be required to attend for 2 weeks of Simulated Clinical Practicum in the Nursing Skills Laboratory.
3. Please advise your availability for additional prac time from 15 June to 26 July as this is the period when the simulation will be planned if needed. Enter your reply in IVLE1108 Survey on “Availability for Additional Prac Time from 15 June to 26 July 2009” open from now till 12 noon, 11th May 2009 (Monday).
4. Polyclinic placement will be planned once the pandemic threat is over.
If the suspension is lifted, you will attend hospital placement as planned. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
PLEASE REGULARLY CHECK EMAIL AND IVLE FOR UPDATES.
Please be reminded that NUS recommends that no students leave Singapore during this time. If you do go to a country that has a diagnosed case you will be quarantined on your return for at least 7 days.
