** "Is this seat taken?" **

these pictures are meant to make peijun sad... WAHAHA.... =P

    formal cell pic.
candid pix... nissi - peijun without peijun! =D
we were all wearing either black, grey or RED!!! except shu. she was in green.

i shall blog a short post today.

    library rocks! ok? we rock!

    we have library chemistry!!!

henson, shuji and i were on duty yesterday. and coincidentally, all of us were wearing RED!!! WAHAHAHA... and zhonghua was saying that the three of us blended in with the library tablecloth, the alarm, the public phone, and the electricity box. WAHAHA.... so funny lor. and i found another similarity between the three of us - we all support Man Utd~!!! =D WAHAHA... so, jieming, it's better if you quit library... WAHAHA... o0ps =P or maybe, you can consider converting to be a Man Utd fan =P WAHAHA...

i think i will make it a point to wear RED whenever i have library duty. i think it is really cool! =D i think RED and i you yuan. other than Man Utd and library, first aid is also RED!

after dinner on Saturday, victor, shu, henson, joshua and i decided to go to Beauty World's Mac to slack. coincidentally, zhonghua and nissi - elvin girls came in a while later. the below is a not-so-detailed map of our seating arrangement at the end of Mac:

there was a missing chair at our table. kongann came. and so shuen went to find a chair so that kongann can have a seat... awwww.... so sweet. =)

shuen went to the table near zhonghua and gang. zhonghua's bag was on the chair (marked RED).

"Is this seat taken?", Shuen asked.

(i don't really know what happened after that. i guessed zhonghua must have been really shocked / stunned.)

Then, shuen tried to pull the chair....

    ...but to no avail.

the chair was firmly fixed on the ground. it was the non-movable kind of chair.

shuen was still tugging at the chair...

    *LAUGHTER*LAUGHTER*LAUGHTER*

sorry shu. i really had to blog this down. it was really dumb. but your love for kongann was undeniable =)

    JOIN LIBRARY~!!!

    >>> victor: haha. like reading my posts then come to my blog more often ba =) you are welcomed! and please, stop talking weirdly, BOY! =P
    >>> eliz: i'm stuck at 10. haha. i don't want to cut anymore lehx... how? i give u my password then you help me cut? haha. and why is work getting hellish! i second you taking a Thursday off to skate! =) must plan a day. cos end july i'd be busy.
    >>> zhiwei: haha. one week no see le. how are you? i re-intro-ed peijun and gabriel again. haha.

** Bad Customer Service at Imperial Treasure Teochew Cuisine **

i've uploaded all the pics on Sunday night but lost the momentum to blog... until the stupid disruption of the Germany / Turkey match. HAHA~~~

anyway, to those blur people who don't really understand what i was talking about... this was what happened: szern was happily watching the match. she was enjoying seeing Turkey performing so well, playing with their hearts on their sleeves, and enjoying seeing Germany struggling... then... the TV froze! for a good 6 minutes. then things came back on again. and it froze again! this time for about 10 minutes. and in the meantime, two goals were scored! one from each side! and sze missed ALL the action. she wasn't the only one. this IS a worldwide phenomenon. it is discussed in STOMP, online, everywhere! so... yes...

i watched the above movies last week. yes. 5 movies in 6 days. good huh? the movie poster size does not equate to the satisfaction gained from watching them. ok, well, it does. but ONLY for the smallest poster. cheap humour. just ignore that movie totally. like TOTALLY! wasted my $10.

my family went to have dinner at some restaurant cos we had some voucher. bu yong bai bu yong! i have difficulty remembering the name. it's simply too long. it's called, Imperial Treasure (Teochew Cuisine). i checked the name out online. i have a LOT of qualms about this place. just bear with me. i have to comment.

    The Food ( 4.5 / 5 )

    • water chestnut drink: my mummy can cook better =) home cooked drinks are always the best! you rock, mummy!

    • Seafood (overall): fresh! no doubt about it. good!

    • (second row, right): the goose web was nicely done. no hands required to rip the meat apart from the bone! just a gentle tug of the fork and the skin detaches effortlessly. good!

    • (second row, middle): PICKLED VEGETABLES~!!! aka xian2 cai4. it is not salty. it's soft and chewy. the sesame oil complements the original taste of the pickled veggie. thumbs up! my favourite dish!

    • (second row, left): dessert! double boiled hashima with almond cream. the hashima has no weird, stinky smell. good! however, i feel that sago should be added to give a more chewy feel to the paste. it will enhance the flavour of the dish as a whole.

    • meagre portion of each dish. even my sister feels hungry after our six-course meal. need i say anything more?

    Customer Service ( 2 / 5 )

Coming to a higher-end restaurant, my expectations of their service naturally rose. After all, they pride themselves as being the Best Restaurant 2oo6 / 2oo7. Having won such a prestigious award, and for the record, TWO times in a row, something has to be good about them. Customer service i feel, should have a certain standard as well. I am sad to say that this was not the case.

    • The waitress simply placed the menu on the table. Like what?!?! Shouldn't the menu be handed out to us individually? On top of that, there were only two menus on the table. I assume they were for my parents. Can i call this, discrimination against children?

    • while i was taking photos of the food, this waitress came and placed a spoon on my plate with a clang, oblivious to the fact that i was obviously take a photo.

    • the waitresses did not say the name of the dish when they served the food. we had to scramble to refer to the menu for our dish.

    • all the food was in single portion (ie. not one big plate in the middle and everyone takes a bit onto their own plate). so, by right, they had to serve the dishes one by one. however, two dishes came at one go. by the time i finished eating one, the other had already turned cold.

    • the cook was not very professional either. there was more sauce in my mum's plate then the rest of ours. we hypothesised that the cook poured the remaining gravy in his wok into my mum's plate instead of dividing it equally amongst the four plates.

    • By right, the waitress should ask, "May I clear the plate?" whenever they wish to clear the dishes even though it is obvious that we are done. well, they didn't. they simply took our plates away without even asking. My sister still wanted that plate of picked veggies (told you it was the best dish in the restaurant). and it is not as if the plate was empty.

    • and the kept clearing and clearing and clearing. there were not many dishes in the first place. why were they in such a hurry? it really spoilt my mood. disrupted the peace of eating. i felt so tensed.

    • By right, they should serve the youngest first. so, it should be, mei, me, mama, papa, in this order. but they anyhow served.

    • And it did not help that one of the waitresses had waist-long, un-tied, rebonded hair. i was so scared that her long tresses would touch my food. thank goodness it did not happen.

    • After dessert, the waitress asked this badly phrased, and in my opinion, redundant, question: "Chi gou le ma?" What if i said "no"? Will she give me an extra portion?

    • The worst thing of all....
    yes, ant.
need i elaborate more about the service?

Best restaurant for 2006 and 2007. ok. 2008? i hope not.

    talk about happier stuff!

i think this sign is cute. 80kg?! you serious? haha. that'll really be a huge baby.

and i would like to thank zhiwei for giving me this rabbit =) you got heart =)
fungi, the robot is cute la. really. not saying this to comfort you. first look looks weird. but the more i see it, the more i think it is ok. really. serious!
the wrist bands were for the guys.
thank God that it rained AFTER all of us were home! times with Lamerz rock!

i went to Sheng Siong (Commonwealth) and saw this!!!

blinking price tag! the black blinking thing you see at the bottom right hand corner says, "PROMOTION!" so cool! so high class! from Sheng Siong. i apologise for the quick video. i felt stupid taking this video there. so everything was done hastily.

liz found a job. happy for her! but sad that we cannot chill out during off-peak hours anymore.

    >>> fungi: think i need to tone my leg muscles first. skate too long really very suan lehx. haha.
    >>> zhiwei: thanks for the prezzie and the money. lolx. paiseh for owing the Swenson's for so long. i really forgot about it. keke. that james arh... you think a toot aj guy. there! that's how he looks like lor.
    >>> eliz: i want to thank you! because of the rocking horse ear rings, i found my passion for ear rings once again. i went to buy four pairs yesterday. HAHA~!!! and lizzie, i regret to inform you, it's TEN pieces already!!! =( i've failed miserably.
    >>> sean: welcome la! i couldn't eat your Polar! treat me someday arh... keke.
    >>> wilson: sorry la. i missed you out. don't so sad la. haha. somehow, i got the feeling that you went to watch Wanted already. haha. am i right? or am i left?
    >>> yeewen: thanks for frequenting my blog. haha. very bad to take photo of him la. cannot be so mean de... anyway, it's ah du's tian tian kan dao ni. dedicate to you! haha. random!
    >>> jol: you are so lame! haha. your tags are so random. what was the "awwww" for? i don't really catch a thing.
    >>> peijun: YA! james. lolx. the world is so small hor? last day le. don't cry. i can lend you my shoulder. i've been there done that before. very sad. sobx. welcome back to Singapore!
    >>> luwei: HAHAHAAH!!!! mature woman. sounds sooo old can? and i agree with jas, you are so random! haha. and a bit slow. that thing has been there for MONTHS lor! keke.
    >>> jaslyn: haha. understand le ma? i try to simplify things le. main point is the screen froze and i couldn't watch the match for about 16 minutes. during this period of time, germany and turkey each scored one goal. and i didn't catch that!!! and i am sad. haha... ming bai le ma? see you tomorrow! don't over sleep! =P

    ** i'll miss turkey **

I'm sorry. i just have to blog at this time of the day.

those of you who watched the Germany Vs Turkey match on TV, raise your hands, please.

    complains anyone?!
    CRAP~!!!!!!!

how could i have missed two goals, one from each side?!

and like it is not my fault. apparently, it is a worldwide phenomenon. and apparently, we, the football crazy world, were deprived of 6 minutes (PLUS another 10 minutes) of soccer because of a POWER CUT. ok. what in the world were the people in Switzerland doing?! power cut?! never pay electricity bills?! nah... don't kid me. look how much revenue Euro 08 has generated for the hosting countries! let me give you a glimpse... a wrist band (think Live Strong) costs 5 euro (approx S$11). THAT'S how much revenue.

i shall quote the live commentary from soccernet:

59' - Well, this is incredible. We've no pictures from the game, so I'll have to rely on radio commentary for updates! Not our fault people, but I bet there's a few tecchy lads in Switzerland with their pants on fire right now.

61' - Well, this is bizarre. I'm watching a blank screen and listening to a radio commentator describing the game before condensing his ramblings into bitesize chunks for you, the footy-loving public.

62' - Turkey press according to Mr Radio Man, "Turkey are almost toying with Germany," he just said. Copycat. I churned that one out in half one. Ha!

64' - Ladies and gentlemen, we have sound! And pictures! A power cut meant no action was transmitted to the football mad world for a good six minutes! Bet the pubs in Germany and Turkey were interesting!

65' - Never have I been so relieved to see the green grass of a football pitch! (i SO agree) And we're just about on time too. Sounds like Turkey have been the better side during our interlude...

76' - And we've lost pictures again! Tee hee! Sack the electricity board!!

77' - There'll be a riot on in the pubs and clubs of Turkey and Germany at this exact moment. To be honest, we're not far off one at soccernet HQ. Disgrace!

79' - Right, we have pictures again, but sadly not in time to see a replay of the goal! This is comedy. Ridiculous.

ok. i envy soccernet HQ, and maybe the rest of the world. here, in small, tiny Singapore, NOTHING was on until the 89'. but we were in time to catch the third goal from Germany. oh well....

    SACK THE ELECTRICITY BOARD~!!!!

    sign the petition~!!!!

    1. Xia0^tiggeR
    2. YOU!
    3. YOU!!
    4. YOU! YOU! YOU!!!!!!

    RARRRRR~!!!!

sorry. only soccer fans will understand the anguish i have experienced. thank goodness this is not some Man Utd match. or else.... HA!

anyway, i am sad that Turkey lost. really. i admire their never-say-die attitude. their perseverance. their fight all the way to the end. they deserved to win tonight. Germany were playing poorly. they'd better buck up or else they'll falter during their next match against the winner of the Spain / Russia match.

    TURKEY WERE ROBBED~!!!

    THE AUDIENCE WERE ROBBED~!!!!

    SACK THE ELECTRICITY BOARD~!!!!

    sign the petition.

    1. Xia0^tiggeR
    2. YOU!
    3. YOU!!
    4. YOU! YOU! YOU!!!!!!

i guess i know why turkey lost. they scored first. in their previous Euro 08 games, they came back from behind to win. this time round, they found the net first... so... sigh... but i still have to give credit to them. they outclassed the Germans. that's for sure. i love turkey!

    Christmas turkey, anyone?

    ** ear rings & camwhoring **

i am sure fungi will be so super duper extremely proud of me...

I FINALLY GOT THE HANG OF ICE SKATING~!!!!

haha. i still remember the times when i wasted money going ice skating because i was the rim hugger. i held on to the rim for dear life, like a koala to the tree. oh man. those were the days... i don't know what overcame me yesterday. after rim hugging for one round, i finally got the hang of things and started to ice skate. W0oHo0~!!!

    yes, it's another SJE outing.
fungi, (second row, right), see how pro i look?
WAHAHAH.... aren't you proud of me?
so i didn't throw you into the money plant in vain. lolx =P
this is something lizzie created. so cute, right? haha

    and yes! i got injured!
ironically, i didn't sustain this through a fall.
OH YES~!!! i did NOT fall this time round! i'm so proud of myself!
this abrasion was sustained by the continuous rubbing of the side of the skates on my skin. 0uch!
and another little something from lizzie.
    THANKS LIZZIE~!!!
it's so coincidental. my rocking horse ear rings broke a few months back. and now, i have a pair of NICER rocking horse ear rings =)
and so, i receive my first birthday prezzie of the year. keke.

ok, i have to blog this down.

lizzie and i were skating around the rink while jol was resting by the side because she was tired. this guy was also at the side because his shoe laces were stuck in another locker that wasn't his. his attempts to pull the lace out was futile. so, he stood by the rink, looking forlorn, waiting patiently for someone to open that locker. this guy, whom we later found out was called, james, went to chat with jol.

lizzie and i decided to take lizzie's camera out from the locker so we could camwhore for a while before leaving the rink (we were exhausted). we went back to jol and james asked us this diaox question, "Are you from China?"

    PENGX~!!!

jol went to get the camera from the locker. she could not find it. lizzie went to help her. and... there left only me! alone! with james! we chatted for a few mintues and... the moment of truth...

"Can i have your handphone number?"

    "Er.... no."

    "Do you have MSN?"

"Yes. but i seldom go online."

not catching the hint, he went on to ask, "Can i have your MSN?"

    "NO~!!!!!"

and thank thank thank goodness, lizzie came back. oh man.... she was my saviour. i was so suay. i should have just followed lizzie to the locker to pretend to find the camera. oh well... it doesn't help that this james looks so aj-ish. it's not as if he's tall, dark and handsome. you get what i mean? sigh....

on a lighter note, jol, lizzie and i got a good deal. we went to the rink and realised we only need to pay $11.80 each to skate all the way until 8pm. rental of skates is free! hahaha... a good deal! and it's so nice the promo is valid for groups of three! YEA~!!! i love such stuff =P

four hours of ice skating is really.... tiring =S

    * * *

i went back to Woodlands Pharmacy today. partly to support sean and his presentation (and to be his photographer), partly to see see look look. see how things were going.

i tell you, there were sooooo many people today! scary! thank goodness i'm no longer a staff! but i helped them pick medicine for about 15 minutes. haha.
    all these are from angie!
she went to taiwan and bought ear rings for me! YEA~!!! i needed them.
i also had milk candy and pineapple tarts!

oh! i have two $5 discount vouchers from PrimaDeli. FOC! hahahahhaha.... it's good to work in woodlands pharm. freebies!!! =P

being girls, once we see the camera, we would start to camwhore. haha.
main picture, from left, tini, jaya, me, siti, noora.
bottom pictures, from left, tini and i; my 'thank you' card on the notice board; more camwhoring.

    tini said i've lost weight... WAHAHAH~!!! it's the truth. i lost 2kg~!!! =DDDD maybe it's from skating.

i will miss Miss Tan =(

    >>> sean: THANK ME~!!!! hahahaha.... i am so nice lor. went back to support you and be your photographer! gosh! hurry, pay me!!! =P
    >>> peijun: i'm enjoying my life AFTER i quit. you, on the other hand, are enjoying youself NOW in bangkok! BEFORE you quit! crap! haha. yup, you'll really miss your colleagues lor. but i miss mine more. haha. after all i've worked with them for so long already...
    >>> dwl: i'm smiling =D haha. nice of you to drop by!!!
    >>> eliz: YEA~!!! i FINALLY saw you and jol once again. haha. so happy =)
    >>> zhiwei: YEA~!!! you are back~!!! haha. now, RETURN ME MONEY~!!! lolx. joking joking... prezzies?!?!?!? =P

    ** it's really adieu woodlands pharmacy! **

and so, yes, here i am to blog once again.
yesterday was an emotional day. i really felt like crying the entire day. teresa was saying, "eh, don't you feel sad? like you're leaving already. don't you feel like crying?"
oh man... i felt like crying the moment i woke up la. but i held my tears...
miss tan asked me, "aren't you sad?"
i so am... but i told her i didn't want to cry. i don't want to look ugly. haha. ai4 mei3.

i am sooo touched. my colleagues shared cost and bought this for me....

    a nurse bear bear.
tini went to shop for it before she went on her church trip to malaysia. so touched *sobx*
and kak rabiah bought a new handphone pouch for me. pink apples! =)
isn't the bear bear cute? so sweet of them. ok. i feel like crying le... crap.

i made this card for them. i spent 3 nights doing it.
ok, i admit, i was watching Euro o8 as i was doing the card.

    the inside.
ok. i want to elaborate on this "poster" that is in the polyclinic.
to all patients and (choi!) would-be patients, i feel that there needs to be some form of mutual respect present. i know that the long waiting time frustrates you. maybe you felt that after a one hour wait, seeing the doctor for only 5minutes is too short for you. maybe you quarrelled with your wife. maybe your boss scolded you for taking too long at the polyclinic. maybe you are rushing off to fetch your daughter / grandchild from the childcare centre. maybe this, maybe that. still i feel that, as the poster says, We seek your cooperation in helping us create an atmosphere of mutual respect in the Polyclinic.

please do not THROW the filthy service chits in our faces.
please do not scold us just because we ask for your name. this is for your own safety. imagine us dispensing the wrong medication to you! you will be at the losing end!
please do not spit saliva into our faces.
please do not push all the blame to us just because you do not dare to scold the doctor.
please do not make a scene because the government imposes a $3.50 levy fee whenever you want to withdraw money from your CPF to pay for your medical bills. scold the government instead. please do not complain if you have waited for your medication for only 15 minutes, young people, when old uncles and aunties who have waited for 30 minutes or more are still waiting patiently.

please, we are humans too. it is BASIC respect to treat us as fellow human beings. please do not make me scold your parents for not bringing you up properly.

on a lighter note, i will miss the nice patients. the old uncles and aunties who would ask me, "Ah Mui, chi bao le mei you?", "Ah Mui, hai mei you fang gong arh?", "Ah Mui, xie xie ni hor. ni hen you li mao."

ok crap. i feel like crying again. haha. it is these people who make my day at work. it is such compliments, and care and concern shown from people whom i do not know, that really keeps me going on, to seek to improve my service to patients.

i guess it is because of this, that when asked during my FASS interview if i were to choose between working in an orphanage, with the prisoners, or in an old folks' home, i chose the elderly.

oh well. this is szern for you. still as emotional. still as feeling. still loving my fellow human beings. still seeking to put that smile on others' faces. haha. so yes, no memory, i've not lost my identity, i guess. szern is still szern.

a random person gave this random prezzie to me.
    i like it a LOT!
    i'm Princess SzeRn! =D

and this is my Chicken Little!
he finally posed long enough for jaslyn to take this photo of him. haha. cute hor?
i love him lor. he never fails to make me smile =)

i was feeling super low yesterday. other than cos it was my last day, my grand aunt came. whenever she comes i'd have a big headache. but if she doesn't come, i'd feel weird. it doesn't help that i cabbed down for service.... and realised it was more of a prize presentation than anything else. wasted $14.80. CRAP!!! i forgot there was a 35% surcharge!

i would like to thank MARCO and ANDROS! my happy apples, for cheering me up. jas, andros, marco and i went to beauty world's Mac to slack after the whole thing. the two boys kept talking so much nonsense that kept me laughing all the way. thay talked so much until jaslyn was prompted to ask if they had not seen each other for a loooong period of time. they both went quiet. very quiet. it was super hilarious because marco had the i-have-so-much-to-say-so-just-let-me-say face. heh. so cuteeee.....

i have decided, if God permits, to never ever give birth to one child only. poor marco. he's a cute boy. haha.

and also thanks to lamerz. all the Happy Lamerz Day messages just made me smile. heh...

i can finally wear watches! no work = got watch. it is inversely related. i do not have to wash my hands as frequently, and therefore i can finally wear watches. keke. so i don't mind receiving random gifts =P *hints* keke...

i have another scholarship interview tomorrow at 8.30am. pray for me, ya? thanks =D

    cheers, everyone!

i don't want to type any further. i don't want to cry. yes, there are politics. and there was once in April where i contemplated quitting my job because i could not stand the patients and the way i was treated. but overall, i like my job. i might complain about it. but i love my job, ultimately.

i really learnt a LOT from this job. customer service, medications and their uses, work ethics.... many many many...

i know i will have free time for others, and myself. but still, i know i will miss my job. when i wake up on tuesday morning, i will realise that things will not be the same.

my colleagues have asked my to extend. to continue. but i am adamant on leaving. i know that this is a break i truly deserve after working for... EIGHT MONTHS~!!! ARGH~!!! conflicting feelings all inside of me...

oh well, i'm a big girl now. i cannot be so emotional. i must be strong! but yet again, if szern isn't emotional, she isn't szern anymore. i feel like i've lost my identity. hmm... removing my label? haha.

Mr Muru said that he will throw his shoe at the patients on his last day. ha! should i do that?

if i cry tomorrow, someone please pass me that piece of tissue and lend me that shoulder. thank you.

    Bye bye:

    ** now i know my A, B, C **

    >>> wilson: HAHAHA~!!! ya~!!! ooooold song! but! it's nice. heh. i love it. i love old songs la... hui wei =) anyway, i made a shocking discovery, nonya zhang is NOT equals to the zhang that i like! what i like is teochew ba zhang! wahaha... so lame right? i have been cheated for so many years. haha... but i like nonya zhang too la...
    >>> no memory: thanks man! that was comforting. i hate it when i get the jitters. but i cannot stop them from coming! haha. anyway, who are you? why didn't you leave your name behind? so secretive...
    >>> syl: YES!!! we as consumers have the right to choose! if something is not nice, we do not patronise from that particular stall again! it's just like service. lousy service = no money from sze! lolx. freedom is ours! we take it up! we take it up! ok, lame.
    >>> shanx: since when did you have a blog?!?! or did you tell me but i forgot? haha. o0ps....

just decided to come online to check some stuff. but i felt the urge to blog. oh well. this always happens.

my bank book still isn't here yet. ARGH~!!!

i received my pay slip. sucks! sorry. but really. so low................ ARGH~!!!! my savings really is less than my expenditure. how? how? HOW?!?!?!?!?! look, for anyone who is quick to point the finger at me and exclaim, "SZE! WAKE UP! DON'T LET MONEY HAVE A HOLD ON YOU!" i would have to say this, "shut up!"

i'm sorry. i'm not being rude. just pause and think. money is not the most important thing to me. however, it is still important. no money, how to survive? with the rising cost of everything from oil, to rice, to veggies, to poultry, to eggs... the prices of NECESSITIES are rising! the pressure on our generation is hard to bear. harder than the previous one. i worry for my kids. so, tell me, is money not important? just do not let it have a hold on you! thithe as you should. offer as much as you can. for God sees a cheerful giver. and more shall be added unto you. not necessarily in monetary terms nor in earthly context. but i know one thing for sure, God is always true to His promises. if He promises us blessings, we WILL receive it in time to come. so yes, grow up, those of you who think naively that it's wrong to say that money is important.

some randomness.... i watched the last episode of Healing Hands 3 =)

    HAPPY BA ZHANG DAY~!!!!!

my favourite is the Nonya zhang... what about you? =D

i'm back here! i've got nothing to post actually. haha. hmm...

i miss jaslyn. ok? haha. we sang Counting On God~!!! jas~!!! you missed it~!!!! haha. i miss huishan too! hiushan called me and we talked. i told her so!

adrian cut his hair. it looked kinda like elvin ng's hairstyle in bian zou qu. guy bangs! *faintS* i kept making fun of him =P

    * * *

ok, updates on my scholarship interview. it was quite scary at first. my heart was pounding. the route to the scholarship venue was familiar - i took the route during end September when i went there to sign my contract. level 6. i walked in and was informed by the receptionist that the interviewers were on a toilet break. oh well... i did some last minute stuff - arranged my hair and clipped my fringe, and pulled down my long-sleeved shirt in order to look more presentable. then... i was told that the interviewers were ready. GOSH! i almost fainted.

the adrenaline rush was so great and overwhelming. i prayed a short, silent prayer and went into the interview room. it was a SIX-to-one interview. all females, as expected. i went in with confidence. but it slowly leached away because the interviewers did not smile at me at all. the opening question stumbled me. OPENING question.

"You placed AH as your first choice. Any particular reason why?"

    "....."

    "...."

    "..."

    "I don't know."

HA!!!!! i couldn't even remember what AH stood for at that point of time. but i thank God for reminding me that it was Alexandra Hospital. Killer, right? my answer? NEVER EVER answer "i don't know" during interviews.

"Is it because of the distance? Because it will be shifting to Woodlands in the future?", one of the examiners prompted.

    "Yes"

Thank God for the prompting from that interviewer. that got my brain in working mode and i answered their questions to the best of my ability. haha. that phrase just reminds me of the St. John pledge. whatever... lolx. but i felt that i could have better answered their questions. oh well! it's over...

now, for part 2. i will be going back to the same place for another interview. this time, with a different group of interviewers. 16th Jun 2oo8. 8.30am. pray for me, ya?

    * * *

the Euro 2oo8 kicked off at midnight just now. and it is crazy. the injury-list just got longer. frei!!! sigh... poor Switzerland. i somehow got a 6th sense that our dear zhiwei will bet. haha.

zhiwei, some tips for you.... A 10-step guide to picking the winner:

    1. Only one of the last nine winners have been a host nation - that counts out Austria and Switzerland

    2. The last eight winners had all qualified for past European championship tournaments - that counts out Poland

    3. The European Championship has never been retained - say goodbye to Greece

    4. Germany are the only country to have bounced back from losing a Euro final to win next time round - unlucky, Portugal

    5. No world Cup runners-up have bounced back to win the Europeans Championship - so France are out

    6. Only once have losing finalists gone on to win the tournament next time round - that eliminates Czech Republic and Holland

    7. Spain may have one of the best squads but it has been 24 years since they last reached a tournament semi-final

    8. On only one occasion have the reigning World-Cup holders won the European Championship - that counts out Italy

    9. The last six winners (France, Holland, Denmark, Germany, France, Greece) all come from the first eight letters of the alphabet - farewell Russia, Romania, Sweden and Turkey

    10. only one team who did not win their qualifying group have gone on to claim the trophy: Denmark, in 1992, took the place of Yugoslavia, who were banned owing to the Balkan crisis. So, it's auf wiedersehen, Germany! That means that, despite not even winning a game at Euro 2oo4, the only nation left standing is... CROATIA~!!!!

please take it with a pinch of salt. this is just for laughs =D

and... MY BANK BOOK GOT EATEN UP BY THE ATM MACHINE~!!!!!

yes. it happened after church yesterday, when i was going home. CRAP~!!! maybe it is retribution, for laughing at adrian's bangs =S

i would like to thank the Woodlands NPC policeman on duty at around 10pm on Saturday, 7th jun 2008, cpl mohd ishak (i think). he was very helpful. he helped me call the posb hotline and get through to the operator for me! yupyup!!!

the oprator, ben, guaranteed that the machine will not spit out my bank book. he told me that the officers will retrieve my bank book from the machine and snail mail it to my house. ok. accepted. i would prefer that it be registered mailed though.

    * * *

catering yesterday was disappointing. seriously. what's with Fong Seng? when i saw that catering was Fong Seng, i was quite happy. finally something acceptable. but when i opened the packet.... goodness! instead of chicken wings, it became CHICK wings. the chicken wings were sooo mini. like suo shui. shrink water. so disappointed with Fong Seng. huishan, jas and i were still discussing going down to Fong Seng to eat their nasi lemak because we've not had it for quite some time a few weeks back. but now? haha... forget it. standard dropped. us, as consumers, have a right to choose. so what if they donated $5000 during the Si Chuan Earthquake Charity Show? it doesn't mean that i must patronise them just because they donated to help the victims. these are two separate issues. Fong Seng, you've disappointed me.

sylvester said that if we are unhappy with the catering food, we can go out to eat by all means. haha. i welcome that. i embrace it with open arms. he said that there is NO RULE that we must eat in church. oh wow! great! =D

    that's all folks.
beware of the blog predator... be careful of what you write...
    politics SUCK!
on a lighter note, i changed my player songs =)

    ** a tiring week **

    some random pictures first...

wahahahaha. this is the chen han wei show that lamerz (minus sk, gera and pj) watched at wilson's house last week. can you ever believe it?! wilson actually went to tudou to find this show! gosh! haha. it was seriously funny. a sad show that turned into a comedy by Lamerz =)

    speaking about coincidences...
    can you believe it?!
siti and i wore the SAME thing to work on Thursday. haha. gosh...
our skirts even have ribbons that tie ont he same side - the left! wahaha...
we were called "The Twins" for the whole day lor... heh.

and here's the pic of us all celebrating wilson's birthday in his room, with the cake on his bed =)

i just came back from radical conference... well, it was kinda radical in the sense that i actually went up to someone and said sorry to him. i thought i could not do it. but i did it through the Holy Spirit who empowered me! haha. i thought it'll be super awkward after that. that i'd never be able to face this person anymore. but somehow, i know that i will be able to talk to this person normally again. amazing how the devil throws at us sooo many rubbishy lies to delude us from doing what God wants us to do! but once we decide to do what is right, TADAH~!!! yupyup!

i hate to admit it, but i cried. lolx. and sooo many people saw. CRAP! so paiseh lor. sigh...

this whole week has been crazy for me. i've been home late everyday from tuesday to saturday! although there were less patients (cos it's the school hols. those school students who want to pon school disappeared. the young kids and parents were away for their june holidays.), that did not mean less work for us cos... my colleagues were on leave / MC. so it was back to square one. crap right? haha. this coming week will be bad again. so many colleagues on leave. the leave roster is FULL! MESSY! bleah...

i missed the last episode of 变奏曲. so sad. it's not SUPER nice. but i want to know the ending.

polyclinic had this fire drill thing! so funny can? we all knew that the fire drill was at 4pm. so when it was 3.30pm, everyone started going to the toilet, so that we will not get stuck there while doing our business. heh. when 4pm came, we were all ready to run. but... the bell did not ring. so crappy... we waited. and waited. finally the bell rang at 4.25pm. we dashed out of the pharmacy and gathered at the field. i thought it was fun. i THOUGHT. it wasn't because there were not many patients. only mostly staff who knew what was happening -_-" crap. at the end, the Fire Fighters (3 doctors) walked out of the clinic. wapiang... so seh can? should have taken a photo. wasted! anyway, i took my phone with me when i ran out of the pharm. wahaha... o0ps...

i would like to thank sean ANG (NOT the church sean) for lending me a book... and his notes =)

    daddy's birthday was yesterday....

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY~!!!

i have a nursing scholarship interview (NHG) tomorrow!!! 10.30am!!! do pray for me ok?
