Overall, we did not buy much over at Dongdaemun as it was winter!!! They were selling mostly winter stuff. Even the pyjamas were thick and fluffy! *faints*
We went Namdaemun again and bought seaweeds~ If you guys received seaweeds from me, some of them were from Namdaemun! =) Be glad that i bought them for you guys ok? Remember to eat! 不要收到坏掉then丢掉hor. Mummy, Mei and I painstakingly packed them into cartons, scotched taped and rafia stringed them k?

Ok, i doubt i'll ever eat pig trotters like that in Singapore! Anyway, I actually LOST weight during the trip! Guess it was due to the stomach flu. Unbelievable. I ate pig trotters TWICE over there! *faints* The second time will appear on this blog very soon! Watch this space! The other stall sells nicer pig trotters! =)
Baos! Last year, we saw people Q-ing up just to buy these buns! We were like.. woah! When we decided to Q however, the buns were all sold out! Like whatever. So this time, we promised ourselves to buy the buns just to satisfy our curiosity. Thank goodness no animals (ie. cats) were killed in this process. Get it? HAHAHA! Curiosity killed the cat. Ok. Don't bomb me.
The buns were normal. But i guess they were cheap. Yet again, the buns were steaming when we bought them. But the cold weather cooled the buns so quickly, the bun skins were cooooold~ in less than 15 seconds.
You know, Korea taxi drivers left a lasting impression on me! We met this super duper kind taxi driver who actually got down from his cab in that weather and walked us to the underpass so we could go over to the other side to take a cab back to the hotel. It would be cheaper for us to cross over than to board the cab from our current position. Firstly, he endured the cold. Secondly, he did not cheat us and was willing to go through all that just to make sure we did not lose our way. Cool stuff, huh?
While using the underpass, we saw a few elderly men who were sleeping in cardboard boxes that were placed strategically to protect themselves from the wind. My heart just went out to them. It's no joke when it is reported on the news that people have died in the cold weather. It's a real thing! The weather, plus the thin clothes they were wearing... It just broke my heart.
