Earth Day is just pure dumbness. it's as if we'll make a significant impact on the consumption of the earth's resources if we cut our electricity usage in that hour. publicity-wise, Earth Day isn't a bad idea. but when it comes to implementing it in our everyday lives... forget it! look at Fullerton Hotel! i am very sure that they will not turn off their lights every evening after Earth Day. so, it will be back to square one! it's pure dumbness.

** Chicken Vs Fungi **

一切完美 (Perfect Cut 2) has just ended its run!
i'm so upset by it, ok? i feel that it should be longer! 13 episodes is just pathetic. personally, i feel that the short stories are VERY good! most of them are very touching. i felt like crying for almost all the episodes! "almost all" because i missed a total of 3 episodes! 2 because i fell asleep before the show started and woke up after it ended-_-" 1 because i was out! SIGH~!!! i'm kinda suffering from Perfect Cut withdrawal syndrome. oh help me! first it was 豪杰春香. now it's 一切完美. sigh! 犯人。
no more alex and kelly every weekday at 10pm. this screams SADDDDDDD~!!! and i seriously don't like Win.

** why i love my brothers.... **
1) love is when timo stood up and took my forfeit for me during ice breakers last week.
2) love is when adrian drove me to NUS to collect free (LOUSY!!!) NUS goodie bags.
3) love is when keith waited so long for adrian and i at NUS (it was adrian's fault =P) and did not complain about it.
4) love is when peijun and i shared our dinner with zhong hua.
5) love is when zhong hua shared his dinner (erm... WAS peijun and my dinner) with kenneth yeo. "freely you receive, freely you give." how apt! 3 fishballs. one for me; one for zhonghua; one for kenneth yeo.
6) love is when bryan took 961 all the way to kranji with me.
7) love is when luwei heard God telling him to comfort me, and promptly did so!

** A levels **
Jesus loves me, and I love Him too!
I almost teared when I heard the story during service.
Anyway, coming back from the A level counselling, I felt a prompting to write these:
1) DisappointmentI would like to share my testimony here. (I’m taking up Pastor’s challenge about using my blog as a medium. what about large and small?)
My A level results were not too satisfactory. I got BCC, C6. No S Papers. Project work B, Chinese B3. Applied for NUS Nursing in 2007 but could not secure a place. Went to work for a year before coming back to apply again in 2008. I got a place in Nursing this time round, with an added bonus – a scholarship, covering my tuition fees with monthly allowance.
I told peijun some time back, and zhonghua today, that if God had given me better A level grades, I would not have chosen Nursing as my first choice. I would have chosen Accountancy or Business. People who have known me since secondary school (ya! Lamerz! That’s you!!!) would have known this. It is a blessing in disguise. I got not too satisfactory grades, but secured a place in Nursing (plus a scholarship)!!! And I am VERY happy in Nursing! At least I know I am doing something I enjoy. Something that I like. I just would like to
thank my dear God for giving me not so good grades during my A levels!
To those who have not done up to expectations, do not be discouraged. Something better is installed for you! Just like me! Pray and seek directions from God. Do not wallow in self-pity. I thought it was the end when I received my grades. But God turned it around and I am enjoying myself in uni! Erm... the work load is crazy. But at least I’m studying something I like! Which, to me, is of extreme importance. I can’t imagine studying Accountancy or Business now! I think I would just die. It’s not my interest at all! Totally Ann-Oh! NO!
It’s amazing how God can turn a situation like mine around!Join Nursing =P
2) Communication SkillsI remember when I got back my results, I was lost. I didn’t really know what to do. So, I started asking directions from people.
I approached this guy, whom I shall not name, for advice. He asked me what I intended to apply. I told him, “Nursing.”
Upon hearing my results, his reply was, “Sure cannot get in de la!”
In the end, God proved him wrong. I didn’t have to say anything. God stood for me! Wo0h0o~!!!
The moral of the story?
When people approach you for advice, please really give them the advice they need. Speak in a tactful manner cos some of them are already quite disappointed. Do not rub salt into their wounds. Do not hurt them any further. Instead, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we should say things that are edifying, that would build each other up, and not tear one another down.
I have since forgiven the guy who hurt me back then. Forgiven, but not forgotten. Cos I learnt a very important lesson from it – to be tactful in all circumstances. not being a fake person. Tell the truth. But in a nicer manner that is not as harsh. Especially to girls. Even when it is a joke, do not go overboard cos you might hurt someone unknowingly.
Was sharing with Adora (Nursing) last week about last week’s sermon, the part about “SzeRn is patient. SzeRn is kind.” She shared with me that for every hurting word you say to someone, it requires 16 “good” words on average to restore the relationship. Cool, huh?
Hope you guys learnt something from this =)

i almost died yesterday.
lectures started at 8.30am for me. and... i had Econ CA from 6.15 to 7.45pm. and mind you, the questions were soooo tricky! the lecturer, Roland, is really.... cheeky! xiao li chang dao. looks friendly, kind and approachable. deep under, set so tricky questions! man! never ever judge a book by its cover, i'm reminded once again.
anyway, after the CA, weiling, her bf jinyi, his friends and i waited for the stupid 95 for 20min. when it finally came, it was so packed it skipped our stop. thanks man!!! so we took a shuttle bus to science (we were at MPSH) and i waited for 197 / 97 at AYE. i tell u... i waited for like 15 minutes! by the time the bus came, it was already 8.35pm! thanks man.
by the time i got home, it was already 9.38pm. i bathed in record timing (15min. WOW!!!!) and rushed out with a few minutes spare before Perfect Cut 2 started!!! =D
Perfect Cut is really good! the current story is close to heart. it touched on the mother-child relationship and it made me teary a few times throughout the show. and oh! the xiao en, i think she looks like me when i was young. haha! single eye-lids. chubby. almost same name. but my mum said i was prettier! erm... i AM prettier. lol.
that was my not-so-good-day yesterday.
today was much better.
i checked my Physio results today. it was not bad! in fact, i improved! =D it's really nothing compared to the Pharmacy and Dentistry students (like duh!) but I improved! competing with myself. and i made it! YES!!! i really want to thank God for this. there were 3 topics tested in this CA. i took a total of 5 hours MAXIMUM to complete the Gastrointestinal Track notes in total! 9pm-2am, with my paper at 8am that day! and this was only the SECOND time i touched my GIT notes ever since the lecture. great, huh?! i know that i could not have done it using my own strength. it was really really God. yups! =) thank God!!!
also, i went for my Hep B antibody test today. the nurse who drew my blood was really really nice! i aspire to be like her! really! i was soooo scared before the drawing of blood. i was tensed. i turned away from the needle. i shut my eyes tight. and before i knew it, it was all over!!! YEA!!!
lastly, i went for my dental appointment in school and the dentist WAS SOOOOOO HANDSOME~!!!! oh my goodness!!! he has this ang moh accent. but he looks local. he looks quite young and... YA! HANDSOME! oh man! somehow, he eased my fear of going to the dentist! haha! just by his looks! oh my goodness! really so handsome! i'll be going back a week later for a filling... til then we'll meet again, handsome dentist. so guys (i mean girls), go for a dental appointment at NUS on thursdays! Dr Thai i think. *winks!* no harm dentist-gazing while he cleans your teeth! heee.... *gushes!*
