    ** Hi Seoul 2oo8 - Part III **

more more pics! haha. must scroll through them ok? get the korea feel.

    tae-han-ming-gu (clap: XX-XX-X)~!!!

song hae gyo (Song Hui Qiao) on the trolley!

the green bus! the type of bus that shin and chaegyong, and juhua took! heh.

the plane's screen is touchscreen! so cool! first time seeing this.

ok. i heard that colin saw snow. well, i saw snow too~!!!! ='(
    at the airport.
    IN the airport.

the toilet at the airport! just press the button at the top left corner of the picture and the plastic will change! so that it's clean and you'll be able to sit on the toilet bowl! so hygienic. Changi should implement this.

told you i looooove bibimbap! =D

the departure terminal over at Incheon Airport! it's exactly the same as that in Goong!!!

my hair looks so nice and manageable... sigh...

don't you think these houses look like those in the shows? those juhua type.

Wang Li Hong + LeeHom = LiHom?

me, kimchi (in my hands), and all the korean food stuff in the background! argh~!!! let me stay in Korea~!!!

the attack of the hairdryer assassin!
don't you think i look like one without my mini skirt? lolx.

    Hyundai Dept Store.

    yea!

mei and i in the train.

    and for the finale....
our total check-in baggage weight was.... 89.7kg~!!!!
    WAHAHAHAHAHAHHA~!!!!
must thank God la. cos max check-in weight was supposed to be 80kg in total for the 4 of us. but the ground staff (a guy. who doesn't look korean. and is a little cute when he doesn't smile. and looks so cute when he smiles. so handsome. so can-sot-me-anytime. i'm going nuts.) allowed us to exceed by that LITTLE bit. =) thank God.

yea. i guess that is about it! haha.

ok. i didn't meet any shuai ge-s over there. sadly man. SIGH~!!! no shin. argh! no ryu si won. no. No. NO~!!!!! heartbreak. i saw a guy who looked like kongsheng though. and a guy who looked like weijie (nope, not jack). other than that... nothing. sigh. so sad.

and the girls there are soooo pretty~!!! the majority la. i think majority went for plastic surgery. maybe i should cut double eyelids, make my eyes larger, make my nose higher, get rid of my baby fat, make my chin sharper, have sexier lips. wahaha.

to those who received Skinfood and/or Etude House prezzies... must really treasure them ok? i had a hard time carrying all back for you guys! wrapped and wrapped and wrapped. don't like it also must like it =P

and hor, it's absolutely ok to dress over in Korea. like you are abnormal if you aren't over. but in Singapore, if you dress the Korean way, you'll be getting weird stares. SIGH~!!!

ok. and my most embarrassing moment in Korea...
i wanted to ask the shopkeeper for the price of a pair of socks.
the correct Korean phrase should be, "Ool-ma-air-yo?"
    However....
Me: "Ma-ji-so-yo?" (meaning: is it delicious?)
thank goodness the shopkeeper did not hear it.
my sister was laughing away like mad beside me... *blushes*

i will go Korea again once i master the language! i can totally fit in if i understand them la! sigh. i just feel happy over there. i just need to get over the language barrier. argh!

told you i'm Korean. it's in my blood.

    * * *

    HAPPY 2oo9 =D

    ** Hi Seoul 2oo8 - Part II **

lunch at the COEX. i cannot believe i went to Korea to eat Jap stuff (the omurice).
the roadside stalls! you must always ask for the PRICE before purchasing anything. we failed to do so and got conned. but it was still a good experience anyway =) it's those stalls you see in Korean shows!
    more Paris Baguette! =D

lunch at the airport on the last day. look at our fetish for bibimbap!
our dinner on board the plane to Singapore. the packaged rice actually received the Mercury award! cool! and it was manufactured by NongShim! haha. we had some cheese ice cream... and guess what?
i actually ate the ice cream~!!!! 0oh~!!! way to go, sze!
now... for many random photos we took... please bear with me. haha.
some nice snack. fish cake mixed with flour. it's delicious! no wonder the long Q.

mei mei and i. we don't look alike. seriously. but we behave the same way! haha. we have chemistry. we speak the same and think the same. lolx. my mei mei.

    the train tickets.

taking the train is an uphill task. first, you have to CLIMB down a flight of steps. then...

you have to climb down another flight of stairs.

then after passing through the ticket gentry, you have to take an escalator down.
after that, you have to climb down ANOTHER flight of stairs...
    ...before you reach the platform.
this is their transferring linkage. it's something like our Dhoby interchange.

    haha! =D

dad, mum and ME! who do i look like?
Korean Air has these stickers on board the plane. you may stick these stickers on your seat to inform the air stewardesses. so cute. i gop-ed them =P
    my mei's a glutton.

at the airport. 3 trolleys. me, mum, dad.

our flight got delayed. so what to do? CAM-LOVE~!!! =D

    Yakult in Korea!

told you my mei's a glutton =P the spicy rice cake is delicious~!!!! yummy yum yummmm~!!!! =D

    ** Hi Seoul 2oo8 - Part I **

szern is back from korea! and is here to upload her photos. sorry to those whom i've not replied your sms-es from 22nd to 26th Dec 2oo8. that's the problem with having a non-3G phone... i cannot receive your sms-es in Korea. so sad! merry xmas! a belated one. wahaha... miahnae...

the bibimbap on board the plane towards seoul.

the hotel i stayed in. Hamilton Hotel.

our first meal in korea surprisingly wasn't korean. it was italian. the chicken baked rice was yummy! i think the cheese they used is different from that used in Singapore.

ice cream in icy cold weather in Myeong-dong?
our dinner! real piping hot bibimbap and some fried pancake with a lot of egg and octopus. and there's my beloved kimchi!!!!attempting to act cute.

brunch on Day 2! KFC. well, it tastes almost the same in Singapore. nothing spectacular. but i was impressed with the wet napkin dispenser they placed just beside the counter. you can take the FOC anti-bacteria napkins to clean your hands before your meal! also, it's the Korean culture to clear their trays after their meal. after clearing, they would use the wet napkins to clean their trays as well! oh! they would also empty their unwanted drinks (and ice) into a separate area before disposing of the cups! so friendly! and to think that Singaporeans are complaining about having to clear their own trays over at Zion Road. sigh... it's the culture.

Namdaemun Market! it has officially replaced all of Taiwan's night markets as my favourite place for shopping in the whole wide world~!!! argh~!!! i want to go again during Summer. i promise you i'll buy the whole market!
this is something special. know the pancakes sold at mr bean? instead of having peanut, kaya, blueberry, red bean etc as the filling, it's egg in the middle! it's called Gyeran-ppang. yummm.... thank God for NO bird flu in Korea!
along one SMALL street within Namdaemun.dinner at Myeong-dong! Ginseng chicken and kimchi!!! =D i tasted the shoju. goodness! it's powerful. when sze says it's powerful... it really is powerful.

and guess who we saw all the way at Itaewon, Seoul, Korea?

    ya.

our breakfast (Day 3) at Paris Baguette. yum yum yum~!!! delicious! anytime better than Delifrance, Breadtalk, Four Leaves, Prima Deli, Swee Heng... whatever.

the toilet at Doosan Tower in Dongdaemun. please don't visit the Tower. i'd rather you go Namdaemun. they sell the same things for a MUCH cheaper price. like say... 3 times cheaper at Namdaemun? anyway, i like the toilet. look at the wallpaper!

lunch! yum yum yum~!!! the spicy chicken soup was soooo gooood~!!!! we ate until we liu bi shui. spicy and yummy! and the pig trotters were delicious! not much fat. unhealthy yes. but after all the walking and exercising... we could afford to eat! heh. giving all sorts of excuses =P

you are supposed to wrap the pig trotters in the lettuce and place the whole thing into your mouth and eat it in one bite! AHM!

dinner! disappointing. the Ginseng chicken was vacuum-packed chicken. not fresh. and the bulgogi (BBQ-ed beef) was so tendon-ry. bleah! but the pumpkin cake was intricately prepared! =)

oh gosh! my dear cell group mate actually opened a restaurant all the way in Seoul?!

Christmas cakes on sale at Paris Baguette! so cute right? sigh... they had so many pre-orders~!!! it's crazy!

my mei caught the cam-loving craze and we cam-loved together.

and my family celebrated Christmas with a prayer and a cake =) it has been YEARS since we prayed together as a family! i am hoping for more of such opportunities =) anyway, the cake is DELICIOUS~!!! the sponge was spongy and the chocolate was not too sweet! and oh! the angels and the house were actually candles! and they provided matchsticks too! don't you think it is an ingenious idea? we need not worry about having to find a lighter / matchsticks to light the candles! Singapore needs this! especially during cell group mates' birthdays! heh.

look at all the cute cute cakes sold at Paris Baguette! why oh why doesn't Singapore have Paris Baguette? the price is reasonable too! from $13 to about $22. even cheaper than some of Swee Heng's cakes.... you know... Swee Heng lehx... ARGH~!!!

    (to be continued...)
